How We Support You
At The Village Clinic, we’re passionate about helping you discover what it’s really like to work as a therapist in private practice and supporting you to feel confident and prepared to open the doors to your own.
Our team of experienced therapists and supervisors support carefully selected trainees from leading institutes as they work toward full qualification and accreditation. In the later stages of training, you’ll refine your skills through our unique, ScoPEd-compliant placement programme, gaining hands-on experience while deepening your clinical knowledge by integrating theory into practice.
To support your development, we provide regular supervision and invest in a mentorship programme and in-house CPD training, giving you the opportunity to earn a Certificate of Excellence.

Alongside supervision, therapists in training at The Village Clinic have access to a mentorship programme with one-to-one personal development sessions with a senior team member. This programme aims to support you in achieving your personal goals, whether pursuing accreditation, starting a private practice, or securing roles in established institutions or public services.
Choose Your Experience
We welcome applications from both qualified therapists working towards accreditation and therapists in training working toward full qualification (50+ clinical hours). Your course must be accredited by BACP, BPS/HCPC, COSRT, NCPS, or UKCP, you must have student membership, and be in weekly personal therapy. To support continuity in our open-ended service, we ask for a minimum one-year commitment.

How We Review Applications
Our application process is designed to ensure a good fit between clients, trainees, and our clinical values and professional standards.
The process consists of three stages and includes an initial review of factors like placement needs, and the assessment of basic competencies and ethical standards. We appreciate any specialist skills a therapist may bring and evaluate clinical compatibility to ensure mutual satisfaction. Shortlisted applicants are invited to an online interview to discuss their application and learn about the placement and mentoring programme including free in-house CPD training opportunities.
Decisions are typically communicated within two weeks. Kindly note that due to high demand, if you do not hear from us within three weeks, your application may not have been successful.
